This little piece of software is something I recently downloaded to view my HDR images so I knew what I was getting. I don't know if other software packages allow you to view an hdr image natively, but Art of Illusion does not. So, it's been random selection of images thus far. So, I hit the Google trail and found a nice program to show me what the images look like BEFORE I try to work with them.
Again, this is a Window's-based program, but if you find an open-source version, multi-platform version, please feel free to start a new thread and let us know about it.
HDR View Download is toward the middle of the page.
