I'd rate you as an upper-middle-lower-mod with pro-novice-inter tendencies.....and a twist of lime!  Of course, my rating scale is completely objectively subjective, but ALWAYS consistently inconsistent.

Im not understanding when you say to place my render again and resize it.
I can only find scale.
Also when you say decolorise it goes all grey but my background is allready made up for it.
So do i just scale the render and layer it over the background ?

Yes resize = scale as far as the desaturation goes, I would do it anyway just to be safe. Would love to see how yours turned out!

this one doesn't have any of the smudge step--i don't seem to get smudging--it always looks messy when i try it

What is brushing?

Using the brush tool.

Picking a brush and painting on a new layer it is used to create effects add light or too draw.
