The Gimp team has released ver 2.6.8. Mainly more bug fixing and stability fixes.
The gimp team has also released Gimp 2.7 development snapshots. This is to test out some of the new features coming to the gimp in ver 2.8. You can check out the

2.7 NewsRight now there is only a source tar ball for 2.7. I have yet to find a windows or mac build. If you know of one please PM me!
